Aum bhur bhuvah svah,
Tat savitur vareniyam,
Bhargo devasya dhimahi,
Dhiyo yo nah pracodayat

Aum – ‘The sacred sound’
bhÅ – ‘earth’
bhuvas – ‘atmosphere’
svar – ‘light, heaven, space’
tat – ‘that’
savitur – ‘name of a sun-deity’
varenyam – ‘fit to be worshipped’
bhargo – ‘glory, radiance’
devasya – ‘of God’
dhÄ mahi  - ‘may we attain’
dhiyo yo na – ‘our prayers’
prachodayāt – ‘who may stimulate’

Throughout all of existence “That” essential nature illuminating existence the Adorable One, May all beings perceive with subtle intellect the magnificent brilliance of enlightened awareness.
